Waiting...
We wait. It's a weird kind of emotion. Very hard to describe. There isn't any word or words I can give you other than "God's design." My hands nor Davids are not in this. We have absolutely no control here. We have given this journey to HIM and are merely passengers on this ride. We understand that there will be a child that needs us and in due time, we will be given direction. But until then, we wait and we thank God that a child DOESN'T need us right now.
Our hearts are open, so is our home, and our arms are reached out willing and waiting to hug anyone that needs that. We want to be their safe place. And most importantly, we can't wait to share the Gospel to all involved.
Becoming foster parents is only a reminder of the sin and brokenness in this world. Often times I don't like to be reminded of this. To many triggers and emotions there for me. But my devotional today helped me to also remember that if we don't recognize the broken world we live in, we forget about the wonderful, beautiful grace. Amen.
